Something not working, or something you wish worked differently — either is welcome.
Before you write
If you tell us which device you were on and which technique you were practising, we can usually find it straight away.
Breathing safely
Most of Respire is gentle, and a slow exhale is safe for almost everyone. But some of the sixty techniques — Wim Hof, Cyclic Hyperventilation, Breath of Fire, Skull Shining, Bellows, Inner Fire, and the breath-holding practices such as Control Pause and Extended Pause — deliberately change your blood chemistry and can make you light-headed or faint.
Practise those sitting or lying down, never in water, never while driving. If you are pregnant, or live with epilepsy, a heart condition, uncontrolled blood pressure, glaucoma, or a breathing disorder, speak to your doctor before trying them.
Respire is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. If you feel unwell, stop and breathe normally. Nothing here replaces care from a clinician.
Does Respire need an account?
No. It never asks you to sign in, and all sixty techniques are available the moment it opens. It works with no network at all.
Does it cost anything?
No. There is nothing to buy, no subscription, and nothing held back.
Why is nothing appearing in Apple Health?
Respire asks for Health permission once, on first launch. If it was declined, open Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Respire on your iPhone and allow Mindful Minutes. Respire keeps working either way. Mac and Apple Vision Pro have no Apple Health, so nothing is recorded there.
Why don't my devices share their practices?
Because nothing leaves the device it was practised on. Respire has no account and no server, so an iPhone and a Mac keep their own separate records. That is the trade we chose deliberately: nothing about you is collected, held, or sent anywhere. See the privacy policy.
Your mindful minutes do gather in one place — Apple Health syncs those across your devices through iCloud, under Apple's control and yours.
Deleting what you have practised
Delete the app. Everything goes with it, because there is no copy anywhere else. Mindful minutes already written to Apple Health are removed in the Health app, under Browse → Mindfulness.
